La Linda Manita - Parenting Program

La Linda Manita (Pretty Little Hand), is a 16 week series of parent education groups for parents who have children that are 4 years old and younger. La Linda Manita offers free groups that provide peer support, education about child development, health and safety, parenting skills, and community resources. These groups are conducted in English and Spanish at various sites in the community. Childcare and some assistance with transportation is provided by this program.
The goal of the La Linda Manita program is to provide crucial parenting information and support parents in understanding the cognitive and developmental stages of early childhood and to promote the best outcomes for their children. This program meets an overall need of support and education for families with young children in the city of Holyoke. La Linda Manita is a part of a city wide effort to improve school readiness as well as providing primary prevention around health, safety, dental and behavioral issues that are common to our pediatric population.
