Holyoke Breastfeeding Resource Center

The Holyoke Breastfeeding Resource Center is a collaborative effort between the Holyoke Health Center, Holyoke WIC Program, and the Birthing Center at Holyoke Medical Center. The resource center offers three weekly drop-in breastfeeding support groups led by a bilingual breastfeeding counselor. They provide breastfeeding support, individual lactation consultations, breast pump access and support, and peer counseling. The resource center also has a clothing swap program that encourages families to bring in gently used clothes that their child has grown out of, and swap for available clothes in their child's current size.

The Holyoke Breastfeeding Resource Center is grant funded by the Holyoke Health Center. The goal of the grant is to improve the continuity of breastfeeding care in Massachusetts by enhancing community based post discharge resources for women and thier families. The Holyoke Health Center views the Holyoke Breastfeeding Resource Center as a great resource for both the community and the patients of the health center.
