Our mission at the Holyoke Health Center is to "Improve the health of our patients through affordable, quality health care and comprehensive community-based programs to create a healthy community."

Holyoke Health Center celebrates Recovery Month, a national observance sponsored by SAMHSA, within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The observance raises awareness of mental and substance use disorders, celebrates individuals with lived experience and those living in recovery, and acknowledges the contributions of individuals working to provide treatment, and recovery support services.

Throughout the month of September, Holyoke Health Center encourages our patients, employees and community members to join us in spreading the word that treatment is available and recovery is possible! Learn about HHC's recovery support services provided by our Community Health Programs department, including Medication Assisted Treatment, Counseling & Recovery Coaching, Acupuncture, and an Alcohol Use Disorder Program.

Our newly constructed Community Health Programs (CHP) department will celebrate the grand opening of their recently expanded facility on Wednesday, September 25th during Recovery Month. The grand opening will include an official ribbon cutting ceremony alongside local officials, partnering agencies, and members of our CHP team. The new facility includes an additional 6,000 sq. ft. of space for HHC, and allows the CHP department to expand staff capacity and ultimately increase access to services, such as recovery support to our patients and community members. Stay tuned for more details about our grand opening!

Holyoke Health Center will join Hope for Holyoke, a local recovery support center, on Friday, September 27th for a 'Recovery March & Celebration' event! The event starts at Heritage Park at 12:00, where participants will gather and march towards Veterans Park to show their support for recovery. The march will be followed by a recovery celebration at Veteran's Park from 1:00PM - 5:00PM, including special guest speakers, a proclamation from local officials, personal stories of recovery, resource & information tables, music, dancing and much more! Join us as we celebrate our Holyoke Recovery Community!

Take a moment today to say something encouraging to a friend, family member, neighbor, or coworker. You never know who may be struggling. Kind words can empower recovery!
