Health Care Access Day at the State House
Boston, MA: On Thursday, May 2nd, Holyoke Health Center attended the Massachusetts League of Community Health Center's 'Health Care Access and Information Day' at the State House in Boston, MA. The event was sponsored by Senator James Welch, the Chair of the Joint Committee on Financial Services. The community health access day gave health centers across the commonwealth the opportunity to showcase their delivery of patient care and services provided within their organization. The health center exhibit fair was held in the Great Hall of Flags, and legislators and members of government were invited to attend. The Holyoke Health Center participated in the exhibit fair and highlighted work force training development, program improvement initiatives and healthcare services provided.
Holyoke Health Center is one of the few community health centers in the western part of the state, and our involvement in the community health access day at the State House represented the work we do to provide care to the 24,000 patients we serve annually.
